8 Feb. (Thursday) Departure

Los Angeles. Report to Los Angeles International Airport, Tom Bradley International Terminal 3 hours before flight departure. By Japan Airlines flight, JAL 061, non-stop and overnight to Tokyo. Cross the Dateline, lose a day and arrive tomorrow.

9 Feb. (Friday) Arrive Tokyo

Late afternoon arrival. After entry formalities - exit baggage area - meet your Tour Guide. Transfer by chartered motorcoach about 1 - 1/2 hours away to Tokyo and to your home for 5 nights - the Pacific Hotel.

10 Feb. (Saturday) Tokyo

 
Breakfast included daily. Buffet Breakfast served from 6 AM at he Picolo Mondo at the Garden Restaurant - lobby level (3rd floor) - behind the elevators. By chartered motorcoach - visit the Omiya Bonsai Village - Messieurs Kato, Takeyama and Kimura Nurseries. Welcome dinner at the hotel.

11 Feb. (Sunday) Tokyo

By the loop-line circling Tokyo to Ueno. Attend the Kokufu-Ten at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

12 Feb. (Monday) Tokyo

By chartered Motorcoach - visit the Kobayashi Bonsai Museum and Tokyo sightseeing - Imperial Palace Plaza, Shinjuku Gyoen Gardens, Asakusa and more.

13 Feb. (Tuesday) Kyoto

By Bullet Express Kyoto. Afternoon Kyoto sightseeing - Nijo Castle, the Gold Pavilion and Heian Shrine. Dinner at the Ganko Restaurant. Fujita Hotel

14 Feb. (Wednesday) Kyoto

Shopping at the Kyoto Handicraft Center. Leisure afternoon.

15 Feb. (Thursday) Hiroshima

Bullet Express to Hiroshima. After arrival - visit the Isle of Miyajima, 1 of 3 most scenic sights and the Peace Memorial Park & Museum. Dinner at the hotel. Granvia Hotel

16 Feb. (Friday) Okayama

By Bullet Express to Kurashiki, of archaic streets & architecture, with old rice granaries along a picturesque canal, lined with willow trees. Visit the FOlkcraft Museum and the Ohara Art Gallery. To nearby Okayama, home for 2 nights. Okayama Hotel
17 Feb. (Saturday) Okayama

Today's highlight - Korakuen Gardens, 1 of 3 most beautiful in Japan.

18 Feb. (Sunday) Takamatsu

19 Feb. (Monday) Homeward

By Bullet Express to Okayama and across the Inland Sea by Express train to Niihama. Visit Mr. Taizo Iawsaki's Takasago-An Bonsai Garden, noted as Japan's king of 5 Needle Pine Bonsai. Farewell dinner at the hotel. Niihama RIHGA Royal Hotel

By express train to Okayama - then by Bullet Express to Osaka. To Osaka Itami Airport. Afternoon flight to Tokyo Narita Airport and to Los Angeles. Same day arrival.
